Olivia Munn and John Mulaney tie the knot in intimate wedding ceremony
Olivia Munn and John Mulaney are officially married! The X-Men: Apocalypse actress, and the Saturday Night Live alum, exchanged vows in a simple, intimate ceremony over the weekend at a friend’s home in New York state. Sources confirms that the couple's 2-year-old son, Malcolm Hiệp, and a witness were the only attendees.
The wedding news comes just four months after Munn revealed her "terrifying" breast cancer diagnosis. Diagnosed in 2023 with bilateral luminal B, an aggressive form of cancer, Munn underwent a double mastectomy followed by reconstructive surgery last fall. Over 10 months, she had four surgeries, including a hysterectomy in April 2024.
Mulaney praised Munn's strength in a May interview with Vogue, saying, "Olivia and I have been through a lot together in the past couple years. Just side-by-side, supporting each other through anything. And as her guy, I felt both scared and protective."
Throughout Munn’s grueling treatment and recovery, Mulaney remained steadfastly by her side
. "It would’ve felt like climbing an iceberg without him," Munn told PEOPLE. "I don’t think he had a moment to himself, between being an incredibly hands-on father and going to and from the hospital—taking Malcolm to the park, putting him to nap, driving to Cedars-Sinai, hanging out with me, going home, putting Malcolm to bed, coming back to me. And he did it all happily."
Their relationship in 2021, blossomed quickly. By September of that year, Mulaney announced on Late Night with Seth Meyers that he and Munn were expecting a baby. Their son, Malcolm, was born later that year.
"Life is a lot better and happier now," Mulaney said during a February 2022 Saturday Night Live appearance, sharing his joy about their then 3-month-old son. The couple celebrated Malcolm's first birthday in November 2022, with Munn posting adorable photos of Malcolm covered in cake and frosting on Instagram.
This summer, Munn has been filming the upcoming Apple TV+ series Your Friends and Neighbors on the East Coast, while Mulaney continues his comedy tour after wrapping his live pop-up Netflix show Everybody's in L.A. in April.
"We’re a really strong little family," Munn told PEOPLE in her April cover story. "We’re really just there for each other."
