Drake faced another significant loss in his sports betting streak as Argentina defeated Canada in the Copa America tournament, resulting in a $300,000 setback for the rapper. Following the 2-0 defeat, the Argentine team trolled Drake by referencing Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us” on their social media accounts.

Drake had taken to Instagram on Monday to reveal his bet, posting, “This could get Messi,” in reference to Argentina's star player, Lionel Messi. Despite his confidence, the bet was considered a long shot given Argentina’s status as the reigning Copa America champions.

After the match, Argentina’s official social media accounts posted Kendrick Lamar’s track “Not Like Us” along with a picture of the team, captioned, “Not like us, not with us.” The post on X garnered over 170,000 likes and numerous amused reactions from fans.

Drake’s sports betting losses have accumulated to nearly $2.5 million since March, with notable losses including $1 million in June on the Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Mavericks, and $615,000 in March on a boxing match between Francis Ngannou and Anthony Joshua. His streak has led to the term “Drake curse” among sports fans.

However, Drake has also seen some betting successes, such as winning over $2.3 million by betting on the Kansas City Chiefs to win Super Bowl LVIII and $3.7 million on UFC fighters Molly McCann and Paddy Pimblett in July 2022.
