Spencer Grammer pays tribute to late stepfather Dr. Bill Skinner: 'He taught me unconditional love'

Spencer Grammer, known for her role in "Rick and Morty," is mourning the loss of her stepfather, Dr. Bill Skinner, who passed away earlier this week. 

The 40-year-old actress took to Instagram on Monday, July 8, to share the news with her followers. Alongside a photo of herself, Dr. Skinner, and her son Emmett, Spencer penned a touching tribute.

"I’ve never been very open about my private life," she wrote, "But the man I consider as my father and the man who taught me unconditional love is a man by the name of Dr. Bill Skinner."

Spencer fondly recalled their long-standing relationship, which began when she was just five years old. Despite her parents' separation, Dr. Skinner remained a constant presence in her life, always offering support and encouragement. 

She expressed deep sorrow at his passing, lamenting the premature loss and expressing regret for not having more time with him.

"This selfie was one of the last we took together," Spencer revealed, highlighting the significance of capturing memories with loved ones. "A part of me is missing now. Truly deeply missing."

In her emotional farewell, Spencer thanked Dr. Skinner for his unwavering love and acceptance throughout her life, despite their occasional challenges. Her post serves as a reminder to cherish moments with loved ones and appreciate their impact while they are still present.
