Hoax caller sent behind bars

Police claimed to have arrested a suspect involved in making a fake robbery call at 15 to defraud the money himself.

The arrested suspect has been identified as Ali Shan. He worked as a salesman at a biscuit factory.

He had got hold of over Rs130,000 of the company and wanted to devour it himself. For the purpose he made a fake robbery call at police helpline that unidentified robbers has snatched valuables from him. When police grilled him on suspicion, he confessed of his crime.

A case has been registered against him. Police said that they were investigating the matter further.
