Journalists to continue supporting Kashmir cause

KARACHI:

The media and journalist community of the city reaffirmed their unflinching support to the Kashmiri people suffering under the occupation forces in the Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

“Any resolution of the Kashmir issue must have the consent of the Kashmiri people,” said All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Convener

Ghulam Mohammad Safi.

Speaking at a dinner reception hosted by the Karachi Press Club in the honour of Kashmiri leaders on Tuesday night, Safi stressed the need for a plebiscite in accordance with UN resolutions to resolve the Kashmir issue.

The event was attended by prominent figures including Secretary of Karachi Press Club Shoaib Ahmed, Secretary General of Hurriyat Conference Advocate Parvez Ahmed, Secretary General of PFUJ AH Khanzada, President of KJU Tahir Hassan, Dastoor of KJU Constitution Hamidur Rahman, senior journalist and analyst Mazhar Abbas, General Secretary of KJK Sardar Liaquat, Member Governing Body Shoaib Ahmad, Senior Journalist Javed Asghar Chaudhry, Nasrullah Chaudhry, Hanif Akbar, Agha Khalid, Abdul Jabar Nasir, Abul Hasan, Chaudhry Amjad Irshad, Naveed Abbas, NNI Bureau Chief Abdul Rahman, well-known social activist Bashir Saduzai, senior leader Ejaz Rahmani, Roy Khadim Hussain, and Imtiaz Wani among others.
