Hilaria Baldwin supports Alec Baldwin at Rust trial
Hilaria Baldwin, 40, was seen arriving with her husband Alec Baldwin, 66, as the actor and his lawyer Alec Spiro attended the First Judicial District Court in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Tuesday, July 9.
They were there for jury selection in Alec's criminal trial.
Hilaria, a podcaster and soon-to-be reality television star, accompanied Alec along with two of their seven children.
The trial stems from the 2021 incident on the set of the Western movie "Rust," where cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot, and director Joel Souza was injured.
Alec Baldwin, who was holding a prop gun that discharged, has consistently claimed he did not pull the trigger or know that the gun contained live ammunition. Following a grand jury indictment, Alec pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in January and could face up to 18 months in prison if convicted.
The Baldwins' presence at the courthouse follows Alec's earlier appearance with his lawyer on Monday, July 8, for hearings on legal motions related to the case.
In the midst of this legal battle, Hilaria and Alec Baldwin remain committed to their family and personal projects. They share seven children: Carmen, 10, Rafael, 8, Leonardo, 7, Romeo, 5, Eduardo, 3, María, 3, and Ilaria, 19 months. Alec also has an eldest child, Ireland, from his previous marriage to Kim Basinger.
As Alec Baldwin navigates his ongoing legal challenges, he continues to find solace in his family. Recently, the actor and his wife Hilaria, along with their children, attended the Chairman's Reception at the 2023 Hamptons International Film Festival in East Hampton, New York. This public appearance reflects the family's effort to maintain normalcy amid the trial proceedings.
The Baldwins have also announced an upcoming reality series, "The Baldwins," set to debut on TLC in 2025. The show aims to provide a glimpse into their "chaotic" and "beautiful" family life, and promises to share their unique family dynamics, underscoring the love and resilience that bind them together through life's challenges.
