Janae Nierah Wherry, better known as Sexyy Red, has claimed that major concert promoters are attempting to sabotage her upcoming tour.

The “Pound Town” rapper made the accusation on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday in response to a post alleging that her Sexyy Red 4 President Tour was on the verge of being cancelled due to low ticket sales.

Denying the report, she wrote on X: “My fans are buying tickets we’re doin just fine we not cancelling no tour dis cancelling sht all cap.”

The St. Louis native then claimed that her decision to use an independent Black-owned tour company had upset larger promoters, who she believes are now using underhanded tactics to derail her tour.

Sexyy Red did not provide proof that concert promoters were conspiring against her. Last month, she announced her second headlining tour, scheduled to begin in August. The 26-city trek will visit cities such as Oakland, Pittsburgh, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Orlando, and her hometown of St. Louis. Tickets have been on sale for under two weeks.

Her tour title appears to respond to her previous endorsement of Donald Trump, which she has since retracted after widespread criticism. “It’s Sexyy Red 4 President [American flag emoji] I’m my own candidate I’m not endorsing anybody period [kiss emoji],” she wrote in early June. The 26-year-old faced backlash for performing in front of a MAGA-themed hat at Roots Picnic, which came after she publicly backed the controversial former president.
