Fred has announced the appointment of South Korean singer and songwriter Kim Seok-jin, also known as Jin from BTS, as its first global ambassador, marking a significant milestone for the luxury brand.

Valérie Samuel, the jeweler’s vice president and artistic director, and granddaughter of founder Fred Samuel, commended Jin for his vibrant energy, artistic talent, and alignment with the maison's values.

“His unwavering optimism and zest for life align perfectly with the ethos of our brand and our founder Fred Samuel.” expressed Valérie Samuel.

In response, Jin conveyed his profound honor and appreciation for becoming part of the Fred family in this new role.

"I look forward to our future collaborations and the exciting projects we will bring through this partnership," he added.

He has signed his debut solo luxury partnership with Fred, a prestigious jeweler.

Previously, BTS served as ambassadors for Louis Vuitton under the direction of the late Virgil Abloh in 2021.

Recent reports from South Korean media indicate that Jin is to participate as a torchbearer at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

As BTS's eldest member, he was the first to fulfill his military service, quickly reuniting with fans—known as the BTS Army—through events such as the extensive "hugathon" and commemorating the group’s 11th anniversary.
