Jennifer Meyer, ex-wife of Tobey Maguire, has stepped forward amidst speculation surrounding Maguire's recent appearance with 20-year-old model-actress Lily Chee.
The Spider-Man actor, 49, was photographed with Chee at Michael Rubin's White Party in the Hamptons on July 4th.
The photos sparked controversy due to the significant age gap between Maguire and Chee, prompting social media reactions and critiques. Meyer, who was married to Maguire for nine years before their separation in 2016, reportedly defended him in a series of Instagram exchanges.
In response to comments insinuating a romantic involvement between Maguire and Chee, Meyer clarified that Maguire was simply assisting Chee to her car and denounced rumors of a relationship.
"Tobey is as good of a guy as it gets," Meyer responded in one exchange, emphasizing the misinterpretation of the photos circulating online.
