What is Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us Video about?

Just 4 days since its release on July 4th, Kendrick Lamar's music video for "Not Like Us," a chart-topping diss track aimed at Drake, was directed by Lamar and his pgLang co-founder, Dave Free.

The victorious "Not Like Us" video begins with Lamar rapping a snippet of a new song featuring the line “Keep a horn on me, that Kamasi.”

Later in the video, notable Californians make appearances, including Tommy the Clown, DeMar DeRozan, a Compton native and former Toronto Raptors All-Star, producer Mustard, who notably wears a Toronto Blue Jays cap, and Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith.

Lamar continues to mock Drake and October’s Very Own by destroying an owl piñata and observing a caged owl. Additionally, Lamar dances alongside his partner, Whitney Alford, and their two children. (Drake had critiqued Lamar’s family situation in Family Matters.)

The latest “Not Like Us” video follows Kendrick Lamar's Pop Out concert held on Juneteenth in Inglewood, California.
