Fawad Chaudhry granted permission to travel abroad
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted permission to Former Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry to travel abroad for two weeks, starting from August 10 to August 24.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq presided over the hearing regarding Chaudhry's request to leave the country. During the proceedings, the Deputy Attorney General requested additional time to submit a response.
Earlier, on July 5, the Islamabad High Court heard Fawad Chaudhry's petition to have his name removed from the travel restriction list.
The court summoned a representative from the Ministry of Interior to appear in person on July 9 to address the matter and CJ criticised the government for placing names on travel ban lists indiscriminately.
