Austin Butler recently opened up about his initial apprehension and eventual delight in working alongside his "hero," Tom Hardy, on the set of their new movie, The Bikeriders.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Butler confessed to being unsure whether their personalities would mesh well. However, his fears were quickly dispelled, as he foundHardy to be one of the funniest people he's ever met.
Butler wasn't the only one surprised by Hardy. Producer Sarah Green admitted to being taken aback by Hardy's distinctive voice, which she likened to a blend of Marlon Brando and Jimmy Cagney.
Meanwhile, writer-director Jeff Nichols observed how Butler's presence seemed to transform the atmosphere on set, creating a palpable energy shift. Nichols also recounted a scene where Hardy suggested a unique acting choice for Butler, which ultimately enhanced the scene's intensity.
The Bikeriders promises to be a captivating film, not only for its storyline but also for the unexpected chemistry between its talented cast members.
