Finance minister urges K-Electric to improve service in Karachi
Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb urged a K-Electric delegation to focus on improving service delivery in Karachi and expedite their plans to increase low-cost production capacity to reduce electricity costs.
According to the Ministry of Finance, a delegation from K-Electric met with Aurangzeb on Monday.
During the meeting, the K-E delegation raised the issue of delayed payments of bills collected through the post office. Aurangzeb assured the K-E delegation that the matter would be resolved promptly.
K-E representatives informed the finance minister that the agreement reached earlier this year between the government and K-Electric had resolved many issues.
The representatives also mentioned that K-E is actively working on implementing new-generation projects to enhance its energy mix.
