In an unexpected move, Netflix has resurrected Axel Foley, portrayed by Eddie Murphy, for another adventure in "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F."

This time, the iconic detective finds an unusual partner in Crazy Frog, the early aughts ringtone sensation.

Crazy Frog, a CGI-animated character from Sweden known for his Eurodance tunes, gained fame with a cover of 'Axel F,' originally composed by Harold Faltermeyer for the 1984 movie. The character's 2005 rendition topped charts across Europe and now returns with a fresh remix in a music video celebrating the franchise.

Lil Nas X also pays tribute to the franchise by sampling the original theme in his latest track 'Here We Go!,' underscoring the enduring influence of Beverly Hills Cop's music across generations.

According to sources, Murphy expressed excitement about the project, emphasizing the thrill of introducing new music to the franchise. "It’s just exciting to have some new music and have this brother be the one that’s on it," he commented.

The new film sees Axel Foley teaming up with Detective Bobby Abbott, portrayed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, in a gripping plot involving Foley's daughter, portrayed by Taylour Paige. The movie promises to blend action, nostalgia, and fresh storytelling, making it a highly anticipated addition to the Netflix lineup.
