The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, expressed her admiration for British tennis star Andy Murray as he concludes his Wimbledon career, calling it "incredible" in a heartfelt message. Despite undergoing cancer treatment, Kate, the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club since 2016, sent her warm wishes to Murray.

Murray's final Wimbledon appearance was marked by an unfortunate turn of events. After withdrawing from the singles due to injury, he planned to participate in the mixed doubles with Emma Raducanu. However, Raducanu's wrist injury forced her to pull out, leaving Murray to play his last competitive match in the men's doubles alongside his brother Jamie.

In her message, Kate acknowledged Murray's significant contributions to British tennis, saying: "An incredible #Wimbledon career comes to an end. You should be so very proud @andy_murray. On behalf of all of us, thank you! C.”

Murray, a two-time Wimbledon champion, made history by breaking an 80-year drought for British players when he won his first title in 2013. He secured his second victory in 2016. His final match ended in defeat against Australian pair Rinky Hiikata and John Peers.

Following the match, Murray received a heartwarming tribute from past champions on Centre Court, including tennis legends John McEnroe, Novak Djokovic, and Martina Navratilova.

Despite the unfortunate circumstances surrounding his final match, Murray's Wimbledon career remains a testament to his dedication, skill, and unwavering spirit. The Princess of Wales's message serves as a fitting tribute to a player who has left an indelible mark on British tennis history.
