Brad Pitt's F1 movie teaser drops, promising thrills and 'combat' on the racetrack
Apple and Warner Bros. have unveiled the first teaser for their highly anticipated Formula 1 movie starring Brad Pitt, directed by Joseph Kosinski. The film, officially titled F1, promises a thrilling ride as Pitt's character pushes the limits of racing and car design.
The teaser, set to the iconic Queen song "We Will Rock You," features a dialogue between Pitt's driver and his engineer (Kerry Condon). Pitt emphasizes the need to build a car for "combat" on the corners, prioritizing speed and aggression over safety. The fast-paced footage captures the adrenaline-fueled world of F1 racing, leaving viewers on a cliffhanger with the promise of more to come.
The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Damson Idris, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo. Kosinski, known for his work on Top Gun: Maverick, directs and produces alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman. Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner of Plan B Entertainment also produce, along with Lewis Hamilton under his Dawn Apollo Films banner.
F1 is made in collaboration with Formula 1 and the broader F1 community, ensuring an authentic portrayal of the sport. The film was acquired by Apple for a reported $130-140 million before above-the-line compensation, signaling the studio's confidence in its box office potential.
With its star power, adrenaline-pumping action, and collaboration with the F1 community, F1 is poised to become a blockbuster hit when it races into theaters in June 2025.
