Less than a year after calling off her engagement with Carl Radke, Lindsay Hubbard, star of 'Summer House,' has announced her pregnancy with enthusiasm and a focus on her future.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Hubbard, 37, expressed her happiness, attributing her new relationship and impending motherhood to what she believes is the universe's plan. "I feel like my prayers were answered," she revealed.
While her current boyfriend, a doctor in biotech investing, prefers privacy and won't be appearing on Bravo's season 9 alongside Hubbard, she will be sharing her pregnancy journey with viewers.
Despite ongoing filming with Radke, Hubbard remains unfazed about his potential reaction to her news. "I'm not calling him up and having a conversation with him," she stated firmly. "His emotions are no longer my responsibility."
Hubbard maintained a similar stance during the recent 'Summer House' season 8 reunion, where she faced Radke for the first time since their highly publicized breakup.
Her focus on her pregnancy and future plans left little room for revisiting past drama. "Let me just get through this, and then I can focus on the important things that matter to me right now," she reflected on her mindset during the reunion.
Looking ahead, Hubbard is eagerly preparing for motherhood, from planning showers to contemplating baby names with her partner. "We already have one in mind," she shared, adding that they're keeping the baby's gender a secret for now.
Despite the typical challenges of pregnancy, Hubbard has found the experience surprisingly smooth. "I've had no morning sickness, no nausea," she revealed. "I'm just excited to actually be able to talk about it publicly now and share in the celebration with our friends."
