'Riverdale' star Vanessa Morgan announces pregnancy with boyfriend James Karnik

Morgan revealed on Instagram that she is expecting a baby with Karnik, due this month.

Vanessa Morgan, known for her role in 'Riverdale,' has shared exciting news about her growing family. 

On Saturday, July 6, Morgan announced on Instagram that she is pregnant and expecting a child with her boyfriend, James Karnik. The baby is due to arrive "this month," according to her post.

Morgan, 32, shared the news with a series of outdoor photos featuring herself and Karnik, 25. The pictures show the couple in casual attire, with Morgan wearing jeans and a white sweater. The couple is seen cradling her baby bump in several snapshots.

In her Instagram caption, Morgan expressed her joy: "So in love with this man, our family of 4 coming this month.🤰🏽#2 🫶🏽 Surprise! Thank you GOD."

Support poured in from her former 'Riverdale' castmates, with Lili Reinhart commenting, "Sweet Angel ❤️❤️❤️❤️," and Camila Mendes adding a pair of supportive emojis.

This will be Morgan and Karnik's first child together. Morgan also has a 3-year-old son, River, from her previous marriage to Michael Kopech.

Morgan has previously shared her experiences of motherhood. In a November 2021 interview with PEOPLE, she talked about the parenting advice she received from her former co-star Mark Consuelos and his wife, Kelly Ripa. "I talked to Kelly [and Mark] after I gave birth [to River]," she said. "They were just excited for me and gave me beautiful, beautiful baby clothes for River."

Ripa also shared practical advice for recovery after a C-section. Morgan recalled, "She just told me, 'Yeah, up to a year you might still feel pain,' and all this stuff. So it was nice talking to somebody else who's been through it. She has given me some good advice of healing in that way."
