Travis Kelce goes backstage at Taylor Swift’s Amsterdam show after 'Karma' lyric change
Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, attended Taylor Swift's Eras Tour show on Friday, July 5, at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam.
During the concert, Swift, 34, altered the lyrics of her song "Karma" to reference her boyfriend, Kelce.
Fans captured Kelce, 34, walking toward the side of the stage as Swift sang, "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me." In a TikTok clip, a fan excitedly shouted, "It's Travis!" as Kelce waved at the audience.
Another clip shared on X (formerly Twitter) showed Kelce embracing someone backstage. Earlier in the night, Kelce was seen sitting in a suite, holding a beverage, and posing for photos with fans. "He was in a suite the whole show!!" one fan account noted.
At the end of the show, Swift and Kelce were seen leaving the backstage area together. Kelce encouraged the crowd's cheers, put his arm around Swift, and kissed her on the head.
Swift and Kelce first sparked dating rumours in September 2023 when Swift attended a Kansas City Chiefs game. The couple went public with their relationship in October 2023 and have since supported each other at various events. Swift attended more than a dozen of Kelce's NFL games, including the 2024 Super Bowl in February.
Kelce has also been a frequent attendee at Swift's Eras Tour shows worldwide, including in Singapore, France, Kansas City, Buenos Aires, and London. During a London show on June 23, Kelce appeared on stage with Swift.
On his New Heights podcast, Kelce shared the rule he set for himself when he carried Swift on stage, saying, “The one thing I told myself is, do not drop the baby. Do not drop Taylor on your way over this damn couch. The golden rule was do not drop Taylor, get her to the couch safely.”
Swift performs again in Amsterdam at the Johan Cruijff Arena on Saturday, July 6.
