Wahab accuses MQM-P of divisive politics
City Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab has criticised Mutahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Mustafa Kamal, accusing him of inconsistent statements and divisive politics.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Wahab stated, "Mustafa Kamal talks about uniting hearts one day and breaking them the next. He learned these tactics from his mentor sitting in London."
"In 1995, as many as 1,795 people were killed in Karachi under 'one man's control'." These people want to practice biased and divisive politics in Karachi," said the mayor.
Highlighting recent developments, Wahab emphasised that in today's time, there is no reign of fear and terror in this city. No one can shut down Karachi, which bothers them. "They realised their standing in the February elections," he added.
Regarding civic issues, Wahab addressed concerns about street crime and water supply, stating, "We are making all-out efforts to address all challenges especially the street crimes besides improving water supply by bringing a new line from Hub Canal."
