Karachi lacks representation in Urdu literature
Literary and known personalities, speaking at the launch of Khalid Fatemi's book 'Namurad Karachi' at the Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) Karachi on Friday, were of the view that in 1947, literature migrated with people from India, but Karachi did not get the same representation in Urdu literature as other important cities in the region.
ACP president Muhammad Ahmed Shah, said that there is a glorious past of Karachi, not only people migrated from India in 1947 but literature also did. The 17th World Urdu Conference will be about those scholars who migrated to Karachi.
