Punjab road crashes claim 10 lives
At least 10 people died, whereas 1474 were injured in 1,337 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
Out of these, 651 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 823 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams.
The majority (75%) involved motorbikes. Furthermore, the analysis showed those 788 drivers, 53 underage drivers, 176 pedestrians, and 520 passengers were among the victims of road traffic crashes.
The statistics show that 256 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 291 persons placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list followed by Faisalabad 91 in with 106 victims and at third Multan with 84 RTCs and 81 victims.
The details further reveal that 1484 victims were affected by road traffic crashes including 1204 males and 280 females.
