Two martyred cops laid to rest

Two policemen who were fatally shot in Kashmore-Kandhkot on Wednesday, were laid to rest in Kandhkot and Naushehro Feroze on Thursday.

The policemen, Allah Dino Sabzoi and Nisar Ahmed Kalhoro, were martyred during an attack on the Dadhar check-post of Durrani Mehar police station early Wednesday morning.

The volatile district, plagued by armed dacoits challenging state authority with impunity, witnessed an hour-long fire exchange between the cops and dacoits in the riverine area on Thursday. Though no arrests were made, police claimed to have injured three outlaws.
