Marvel exec talks 'Daredevil', 'Eyes Of Wakanda', 'Agatha All Along' and animated 'Spider-Man'
Marvel Studios Head of TV and Streaming, Brad Winderbaum, shared insights on the upcoming Disney+ slate during an episode of the Official Marvel Podcast.
Scheduled for March 2025, "Daredevil: Born Again" marks the return of the beloved character, promising a fresh narrative approach akin to the revived spirit of "X-Men '97".
According to Winderbaum, the storyline has evolved significantly: "Matt and Wilson have changed, and their characters are gonna collide in ways we’ve never seen before. It’s no longer enough to try and murder each other. There’s a whole game of politics at play."
Meanwhile, "Eyes of Wakanda", spearheaded by Ryan Coogler and directed by Todd Harris, promises an action-packed exploration of Wakandan history. Winderbaum described it as expanding into different MCU timelines, appealing to both new and seasoned fans of the franchise.
Returning fan-favorite Kathryn Hahn will headline "Agatha All Along", set for a September 2024 premiere. Winderbaum teased the show’s dual nature: "It’s a Marvel brand of scary. It’s a Halloween show. There are deadly stakes in this series."
Additionally, the animated series "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" was highlighted for its ensemble cast and narrative depth exploring Peter Parker’s early years. The show, featuring characters beyond the MCU roster, is anticipated to be a significant addition to Disney+.
