Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner unveil plans for luxury Aman hotel in Albania
Ivanka Trump and her husband, real estate developer Jared Kushner, are embarking on an ambitious project to open a luxury Aman hotel in Albania.
In a recent interview on Lex Friedman’s podcast, Trump shared, “Right now I’m working with my husband. We have this 1,400-acre island in the Mediterranean, and we’re bringing in the best architects and the best brands.”
The mountainside resort will be managed by Vlad Dronin’s prestigious Aman brand and will feature the renowned restaurant Carbone.
“Aman’s going to operate the hotel for us, and they’re going to be villas, and we have Carbone who’s going to be doing the food and beverage,” Trump said.
“But it’s amazing to bring together all of this talent. And for me to be able to play around and flex the real estate muscles again and have some fun with it.”
Trump, who worked in the White House alongside Kushner before stepping back to spend more time with their children in Miami, emphasized their commitment to respecting the natural landscape.
“We’re trying to honor the topography that exists,” she noted.
The conceptual drawings reflect a modern aesthetic that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding vegetation and terrain, avoiding the creation of just “a beautiful glass box.”
“Obviously you want glass. You want to look out and see that gorgeous blue ocean, but how do you do that in a way that doesn’t feel generic and isn’t a squandered opportunity to create something new,” she added.
The Aman brand, which boasts over 30 properties in 20 countries, is favored by celebrities such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, the Kardashians, Angelina Jolie, David Beckham, George and Amal Clooney, and Tom Hanks. Rooms at Aman resorts typically cost around $1,400 per night, with villas priced at $50,000.
Ivanka has been frequently spotted at Aman’s New York City location and plans to support her father, Donald Trump, when he officially accepts the GOP nomination for president.
However, she will not serve in any political capacity during the campaign.
