Khloe Kardashian faces backlash for inviting Tristan Thompson to her 40th birthday bash
Khloe Kardashian faced online backlash after inviting her ex and baby daddy, Tristan Thompson, to her extravagant 40th birthday party over the weekend.
The Good American co-founder celebrated with a Dollywood-themed event attended by her Kardashian/Jenner family, including sisters Kourtney, Kim, Kylie, and mom Kris.
On Wednesday, it was revealed that Tristan, 33, was also at the party, sparking anger among fans.
The Cleveland Cavaliers player posted several Instagram photos showcasing his all-denim outfit, in line with the party’s theme, and posing with friends.
In some solo shots, he sat in a pink booth, complementing the party's aesthetic with his shirt slightly unbuttoned to reveal gold chains and a chest tattoo.
Despite numerous photos from the event, Khloe and Tristan were not seen together in any of them.
This led to a flood of negative comments on Tristan’s Instagram post.
One fan remarked, "Of course he was there trolling Khloe as usual. This man is a pitiful soul." Another criticized Khloe for allowing him at the party, saying, "She’s just as pitiful for not turning him away at the door. They are both pathetic and deserving of one another."
Other fans expressed their disdain for Tristan’s presence and his posts, with comments like, "Not him posting pics of her party and not one with her. Baby daddies are irritating lol," and "You're embarrassing. Khloe deserves so much more."
Some speculated on their relationship, with one user stating, "They are so together," and another adding, "He wants her back so bad."
Khloe and Tristan have a tumultuous past, marred by multiple cheating scandals.
Tristan was infamously caught kissing Jordyn Woods, Kylie Jenner's best friend, which initially led to their breakup. After reconciling, he was again seen with other women, further straining their relationship.
Despite these issues, the couple welcomed their second child, Tatum, via surrogate in July 2022. They also share a six-year-old daughter, True.
The scandal deepened in December 2021 when it was revealed that Tristan had fathered a child with Maralee Nichols while in an exclusive relationship with Khloe.
He has since refused to meet his son, Theo, and is reportedly behind on child support payments, owing about $57,000 from missed payments between September 2023 and January 2024.
