Kim Kardashian bashed by critics, called ‘vapid’ and ‘out of touch’ over rodeo drive robbing remarks

Critics have slammed Kim Kardashian for her recent remarks on being robbed, questioning her Hollywood aspirations.

Kim Kardashian, 43, has come under fire after her comments about potential fame on the Hollywood Walk of Fame sparked backlash. 

During an interview on Variety’s Actors on Actors series with Chloë Sevigny, Kardashian recounted a conversation with her mother Kris Jenner, saying, "We were like ‘Oh, we can never drive down in a Rolls-Royce in Beverly Hills these days. All the shopping bags out? You’d get robbed.'" 

This statement quickly drew criticism online, with some labeling her as "vapid to the core" and others dismissing her concerns as "rich girl problems."

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's recent denial of Kardashian's request for a star on the Walk of Fame added fuel to the controversy. 

The Chamber cited her primarily reality television background as the reason for their decision. 

This decision contrasts sharply with Sevigny's acclaimed career, highlighted by roles in films such as American Psycho and Boys Don’t Cry, along with awards like the Golden Globe and Independent Spirit Award nominations.

Kardashian's acting career has been less illustrious, featuring roles in films like Disaster Movie (2008), Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor (2013), and voice roles in PAW Patrol films. 

Her most recent acting stint on American Horror Story: Delicate also stirred mixed reviews. Despite this, Kardashian expressed reservations about taking on more demanding roles, citing concerns about facial expressions due to Botox injections.

Criticism intensified following Kardashian's remarks on her family's reality show, The Kardashians, where she discussed her limited acting ambitions and flirted with the idea of a gender-swapped James Bond role. 

Fans and critics alike took to social media to express disappointment, questioning Kardashian's suitability in Hollywood's more serious acting circles.
