Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has expressed her ambition to secure a role in the popular Netflix series 'Bridgerton.'

Known for her love of period costumes, Ferguson has asked her agent to find her a part in the hit TV show. She revealed her admiration for the show's elaborate sets and expressed a desire to portray a friend of Penelope Featherington, a character played by Nicola Coughlan.

In an interview with Platinum Magazine, Ferguson, 64, stated, "I've asked my agent to get me on 'Bridgerton!' The set designs are incredible! I could be a long-lost friend for Penelope. I just have to be on 'Bridgerton!'"

Despite her enthusiasm for 'Bridgerton,' Ferguson has consistently turned down offers to appear on the reality show 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' She explained, "I’ve been asked to go on 'I'm a Celebrity...' hundreds of times, and the answer is always no. It’s not for me!"

Ferguson's interest in acting is not new. She recently made a cameo appearance as a duchess in the TV movie 'An American in Austen,' released earlier this year. Reflecting on her role, she said, “I’ve already had five lines in 'An American in Austen.' I’m in my big dress. ‘Oh, good evening, Mrs Bennett...’”

Her passion for storytelling extends beyond acting, as she is also an author of a Mills & Boon series based on her great aunt, Lady Margaret Montagu Douglas Scott.
