‘Hawk Tuah’ girl breaks silence in first-ever interview
Hailey Welch, widely recognised as the "Hawk Tuah" girl, has recently addressed the rumours surrounding her personal life since her meteoric rise to fame.
During her appearance on Brianna LaPaglia's 'Plan Bri' podcast on Monday, Welch clarified various misconceptions circulating online.
LaPaglia began the discussion by noting the widespread search for Welch and the proliferation of fake accounts that emerged as people attempted to find her. “Everyone has been searching for you. I feel like there have been millions of fake accounts that I fell for because I was trying to find you like two weeks ago,” LaPaglia remarked. She also mentioned an account selling merchandise, questioning its legitimacy.
Welch explained that while the account was not hers, she had permitted Jason Poteete from Fathead Threads to sell hats in her hometown. "He was kind enough to ask if he could sell them, and he's just been great to me. I've known him for years, and he split all what he's made off it with me," Welch stated.
