Rolling Stones fans in Chicago enjoyed a special surprise this weekend when one of today's top country music stars joined the legendary band onstage.

On Sunday, June 30, the iconic rock group invited Lainey Wilson to perform their 1971 track “Dead Flowers” with them at Soldier Field. This was the Stones' second time performing the country-inspired song on their current tour, after having singer-songwriter Tyler Childers join them in Orlando on June 3.

In fan-shot footage posted on YouTube, Wilson, 32, is seen onstage with the Stones, wearing bedazzled chaps, a varsity jacket, and a black cowboy hat, while frontman Mick Jagger, 80, started the song’s first verse on guitar.

After the performance, the Stones praised “another incredible night in Chicago” in an Instagram post, thanking fans for attending and giving a “special thanks to @laineywilson for joining on Dead Flowers 🥀.”

Wilson responded with her own post, proudly sharing about her experience performing with the rock legends.

The Stones are currently on their Hackney Diamonds stadium tour, which began in Houston on April 28, supporting their 24th studio album of the same name. The tour is set to conclude at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Wednesday, July 17.
