Hyun A, the legendary K-soloist’s name is synonymous with her strong sense of confidence and charisma, which she has cultivated over 17 years in the music industry. At 32, she seems to naturally embody an attitude as if it is a fundamental part of her character.

However, she downplays the idea of pure innate talent.

"Training," she tells PEOPLE. "I’ve always been training and going to the studio. Whether I’m working on an album or not, I always try to use my time smartly — on something that doesn’t betray me. I always have that mindset, that attitude to maintain charisma for 17 years."

"I also often ask myself, ‘Are you OK?’” she continues. “But one day, I realized that it’s OK to say that I’m not OK. After that, I was able to have a better balance of work and life.”

Fashion is also a part of her attitude, and since her 2007 debut with Wonder Girls, she has consistently delivered stunning looks.

HyunA was a member of the iconic group 4Minute before launching her solo career in 2010 with the debut single “Change.”

Her influence extends beyond K-pop, with appearances such as her feature in PSY’s viral hit “Gangnam Style” in 2012, recognized by pop fans worldwide.

In 2024, HyunA is embracing a new attitude, showcasing her evolving artistry. The songwriter is excited for her new album and upcoming North American tour, hoping to reflect this new era of her career.
