Several days’ old mutilated bodies of an elderly woman and her son were found in a house in Federal B Area on Sunday. The grisly discovery within the remits of Joharabad police station has created fear in the area as police launched an investigation. The deceased have been identified as 60-year-old Zahida and her 32-year-old son Tariq. After receiving information, a police party arrived at the scene and shifted the bodies to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem examinations which will determine the exact cause of the, according to SHO Shauqat.
Meanwhile, the body of a 63-year-old Babar was found in his room at the house in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13 which he shared with his brother, Akbar. According to SHO Aziz Bhatti Shahzad Ilyas, Babar lived alone on the upper floor of the house and Akbar lives on the ground floor. Akbar told the police that he did not see his brother coming and going from the house for the past few days. Finally, Akbar said, he had went upstairs to check on his brother and found him lying dead on his bed.
