Cattle set on fire over dispute with owner

Police register case, arrest two men

SARGODHA:

A man allegedly set six head of cattle on fire over a dispute with their owner. Reportedly, the dispute developed over tying cattle on the wrong side of a fence. One animal had to be slaughtered while others were left in a critical condition.

The owner of three cattle, Asif Ali, had tied the animals in a yard near his house. The accused, who are residents of the same area, threated Ali that they would set the animals on fire if they were not moved immediately.

When Asif Ali and his family had gone home after feeding the cattle, accused Sarwar, his son Ali and a woman set them on fire.

At least six animals were injured because of the fire.

A buffalo had to be slaughtered on the spot.

The police registered a case against the three accused and arrested Sarwar and his son Ali.
