Camila Cabello hopes Drake and Kendrick Lamar can settle differences over dinner
Camila Cabello, fresh from the release of her new album 'C, XOXO' on Friday, June 28, has opened up about her wishes for a resolution between two of the biggest names in rap: Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
In a recent interview with the Sunday Times, the pop sensation discussed her discomfort with the ongoing public disputes between fellow artists.
"It’s so frustrating to see people talk about someone you know in a way that is negative. You’re like, ‘Dang, if only you guys could just have dinner or something,'"
Cabello shared, reflecting her desire for the two to mend their strained relations, though she did not mention them by name in the discussion.
The feud, marked recently by Lamar's performance of his Drake diss track "Not Like Us" at his Pop Out concert, seems to have deepened, diminishing the chances of reconciliation.
Lamar used this event to also debut "Euphoria," his direct response to Drake's taunts from the track "Like That" released in April.
Despite the tense atmosphere surrounding these rap titans, Cabello had only praises for Drake, whom she worked with on her album tracks "HOT UPTOWN" and "Uuugly."
While rumors of their closeness swirled following a vacation together in the Turks and Caicos Islands last December, Cabello confirmed her single status to the Sunday Times, humorously citing her hectic life: "I barely have time to fucking shave my legs," she explained.
"I’ve been working so hard I have not had time, but the pendulum is going to have to swing the other way at some point."
