Pakistan's Hamza Khan bags U-19 title at Asian Junior Squash Championship

Pakistan's Hamza Khan clinched the Boys Under-19 title at the 31st Asian Junior Squash Championship, while Suhail Adnan emerged victorious in the Boys Under-13 category on Saturday.

During the event, Pakistan secured 2 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze medals. Malaysia won 3 titles, India took 2, and Hong Kong claimed 1.

The finals were held at the Mushaf Zia Shaheed International Squash Complex in Islamabad. Hamza Khan, an 18-year-old who previously won the World Junior Championship, defeated Malaysia's third-seed Yirth Daniel 3-0 to win the Boys Under-19 event.

In the Boys Under-17 category, top seed Abdullah Nawaz faced a tough match but was ultimately defeated 3-2 by Malaysia's Nikhelly Veeswar. In the Boys Under-15, India's Shivaan Agarwal overcame Malaysia's Mohammad Razaq with a 3-1 victory.

In the Boys Under-13, fourth seed Suhail Adnan defeated fellow Pakistani Hazifa Shahid 3-1 in a close contest.

In the Girls' events, Malaysia's top seed Thanosha Edharain defeated compatriot Akari Meduruka in the Under-19 final. Hong Kong's top seed Anna Kong triumphed over fellow Hong Kong player Tang Helen in the Under-17 category. In the Under-15, Malaysia's top seed Harleen Tan defeated Hong Kong's second seed Pai Yen Choli. In the Under-13, India's second seed Adhya Bhatia won against compatriot Goshika.
