5 killed in separate incidents in single day
Police officials are still searching for the accused in the murder cases.
FAISALABAD:
A total of five people were killed in various parts of the district on Tuesday. In the first incident, an unknown accused shot Ghulam Mustafa and injured his niece Zubaida in Chak No601-GB. Ghulam Mustafa was killed while stopping the kidnappers from taking his niece. The accused fled the scene.
In another incident, a stray bullet hit Muradabad resident 12-year-old Bilal when some guests at a wedding ceremony began aerial firing. Bilal was taken to the hospital in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, Rasheed and his accomplices clubbed Mehboob Ahmad to death over a minor dispute in Chak No86-GB. On the same day, unidentified assailants shot and killed 25-year-old boy Maqbool Husain in Chak No57-JB and threw his body into the fields.
In Jattanwala Chowk Afghan Abad, Muhammad Sharif’s daughter Saadia was killed when she fell down from the rooftop of her house. “My daughter was pushed off the roof by robbers,” her father said. Police officials have ordered an autopsy.
Police officials have registered separate cases for each incident and are investigating.
