Nickmercs banned from Twitch for using the word 'tranny'
Nick Kolcheff, widely known as Nickmercs, has been banned from Twitch after using the derogatory term "tranny" during a livestream.
In a tweet addressing the incident, Nickmercs stated, "Apparently that's a derogatory term. That's on me. Next time I'll use mental health disorder." His Twitch channel is currently offline and flagged as “temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.”

The ban follows closely on the heels of the controversy surrounding Guy 'Dr Disrespect' Beahm, who admitted to messaging a minor on the platform in 2017, resulting in his permanent ban in 2020.
Nickmercs is among the most popular Call of Duty streamers globally, boasting a significant social media presence and 6.72 million followers on Twitch. This ban marks a year since Nickmercs last faced backlash for transphobic comments. In June of last year, he criticised transgender rights protesters, saying, "They should leave little children alone." This incident led to his custom skin being removed from Call of Duty, but unlike the Dr Disrespect case, many supported Nickmercs, and he returned to Twitch with a record-high number of paid subscriptions.
In response to Dr Disrespect’s recent scandal, Nickmercs has publicly condemned the actions, stating he can no longer support the veteran streamer.
