ASI booked over abduction charges

In retaliation of a writ filed against him, ASI of Buchiana Police allegedly abducted two individuals from their home and subjected them to physical abuse.

According to a police spokesperson, resident of Chak 655 GB, Muhammad Abid Akram, filed a case through the mediation of Additional and Sessions Judge Jaranwala, stating that he filed a writ in court against ASI Rana Muhammad Naseem posted at Balochni police station.

The complainant further stated that “On May 17, ASI Rana Muhammad Naseem, accompanied by police officers Muhammad Naqash, Waseem, Ramzan, and others, entered my residence at night and forcibly took away Irfan and Akram, subjecting them to physical abuse”. He alleged that ASI Naseem stated, “Let's teach you a lesson for filing writs in court” before he took the abductees to an undisclosed location where they were subjected to further torture. They also confiscated the complainant's mobile phone and Rs 50,000 from his pocket.
