After a two-day buildup, Glastonbury Festival starts today with the first complete day of music performances on the main stages.

Squeeze will kick off the performances on the Pyramid Stage at noon, joined by other artists such as Idles, Jamie xx, LCD Soundsystem, PJ Harvey, Fontaines DC, and Anne-Marie throughout the lineup.

Pop sensation Dua Lipa headlines the opening night, performing disco-pop hits including "New Rules," "Don't Start Now," "One Kiss," "Levitating," and "Houdini."

Earlier this year, she told the BBC, “I’ve got to figure out a way to make 150,000 people feel like they’re in a small little nightclub.”

“That’s the goal, and if there’s one place to do it, it’s gotta be Glasto.”

The star has been rehearsing her set in Birmingham all week, following warm-up shows earlier this month in Croatia, Germany and France.

During rehearsals, a TikTok influencer attempted to sneak in and film the star, as reported by The Sun. However, security intercepted them before they could enter the studio.

Last month, genuine backstage footage was posted by Lipa's friend and fashion designer Guiliano Calza. He shared a clip on Instagram showing her energetic dance breakdown during "Houdini."

Other headliners across the weekend include Coldplay, SZA and country star Shania Twain, who says she wants to “ride a horse to the stage” when she plays on Sunday.
