Hidetaka Miyazaki, the mastermind behind Elden Ring and president of FromSoftware, has confessed to rarely playing his own games post-release due to the fear of finding flaws or unfinished elements. However, in preparation for the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, Miyazaki conquered Elden Ring's main story using every available in-game assistance and his knowledge as the game's creator.

Miyazaki candidly admitted to "absolutely sucking at video games" and feeling powerless to fix issues once a game is released. Despite this, he embraced the open-world nature of Elden Ring and utilized all the tools at his disposal to overcome the challenges he himself designed.

The difficulty of FromSoftware games is notorious, and even with Miyazaki's endorsement of guides and mods, many players struggle with the new DLC. Miyazaki acknowledged that Shadow of the Erdtree "pushed the envelope" in terms of difficulty, leading to the creation of mods aimed at easing the challenge.

While some players are embracing the difficulty and finding ways to make the game even harder, others are turning to IGN's comprehensive Shadow of the Erdtree guide for assistance. The guide offers valuable tips and tricks to navigate the Land of Shadow and conquer its formidable bosses.
