NASCAR employee fired over 'Hawk Tuah' meme

The "Hawk Tuah" meme is officially leading to employees facing repercussions. 

This weekend, a NASCAR worker announced that he had been stripped of his social media duties following a Hawk Tuah-themed post during a rain delay.

An employee, known as @RDorman19 on X, working for the NASCAR Xfinity Series team JD Motorsports, tweeted a meme referencing the viral "Hawk Tuah" phrase during rainy weather. The post was quickly deleted, but not before it led to consequences for the employee.

"Well boys, I went out on top," he wrote on social media, acknowledging the end of his duties.

Dorman took a final jab at his former employer, saying, "I knowwwww. Most exposure JD has got since a certain bumper bonked out windshield at Richmond."

The "Hawk Tuah" meme originated from a viral street interview in Nashville, where a girl described an intimate act, which quickly became a widespread joke on the internet. Unfortunately, our NASCAR employee’s post went too far, resulting in his dismissal from social media responsibilities.
