George Galloway reveals he was stalked by real-life Martha from Baby Reindeer
George Galloway, a Scottish politician and TV personality, has revealed that he was stalked by Fiona Harvey, the real-life inspiration for the character Martha in the play Baby Reindeer.
In a recent interview with Piers Morgan, Galloway shared his terrifying experience of being stalked by Harvey in the late 1980s.
Galloway said that Harvey would call him hundreds of times and show up at his office and other places, often at inappropriate times. He described the stalking as "relentless" and "physical", saying that he was afraid that Harvey might harm him. However, he added that she never did harm him or threaten to harm him.
Galloway is not the only one who has been stalked by Harvey. Lawyer Laura Wray and her husband Jimmy Wray, a former Labour MP, have also alleged that they were stalked by Harvey. Galloway believes that Harvey's behavior was a form of "real stalking" because she would show up at his door or phone him on his landline, rather than using modern technology like email or text messages.
Harvey is currently suing Netflix for $170M over defamation and negligence, claiming that the company defamed her and failed to protect her from harm. Galloway has expressed support for Harvey, saying that he wishes her the best in her legal action.
