Jeremy Allen White, known for his role as Carmie Berzatto in FX's 'The Bear,' expressed admiration for co-star Ayo Edebiri stepping into the director's chair.

During the premiere event on June 25, White shared his experience witnessing Edebiri's directorial debut, stating to Variety, "It was the best. I wasn't acting in that first day of hers, I was on set just like hanging out."

Despite Edebiri's role as Sydney Adamu, White praised her transition to director, emphasizing her confidence and intuition. "She did a beautiful job," White remarked.

"She's a beautiful actress and a very intuitive actress. And I think she’s a very beautiful and intuitive director as well."

Edebiri, reflecting on her emotional journey directing the episode, told Deadline, "I cried. It was written very beautifully. I was just so moved by it and really really touched that Chris [Storer] had me in mind to direct it."

Since the series debuted in 2022, White and Edebiri's bond has grown both on and off-screen. In a recent Vanity Fair feature, White described their camaraderie, saying, "We really enjoy each other in life, on camera and off camera."

As 'The Bear' continues to captivate audiences, White remains optimistic about their on-screen chemistry, noting, "I hope that sort of thing shines through on camera between Carm and Syd."
