Two killed, 20 injured as heavy rain lashes Balochistan
At least two people were killed, and several others sustained injuries in Balochistan's Dera Bugti district due to heavy rains, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
The severe weather in the Sui area resulted in 20 injuries, leaving many in critical condition.
Following the incident, local hospitals declared an emergency to manage the influx of injured individuals.
Power outages plagued most of Dera Bugti as several electricity poles collapsed under the heavy rains.

Rescue operations have been launched by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and PDMA to relocate affected individuals to safer locations.
The weather department has forecasted continued rain with wind and thundershowers in multiple Balochistan districts, including Lasbella, Khuzdar, Awaran, Jhal Magsi, Kalat, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, Kohlu, Zhob, and Barkhan, from June 26 to 28.
The PDMA's report further revealed that the casualties and injuries were primarily due to falling trees and the collapse of roofs and walls.
The district administration and PDMA are actively monitoring the situation and have dispatched relief supplies and medical teams to the affected areas.
