Veteran actor Bill Cobbs, celebrated for his memorable roles in films like "Night at the Museum," "The Bodyguard," and "Air Bud," has died at the age of 90.

Cobbs passed away peacefully at his California home on Tuesday, June 25, according to a Facebook postby a family member. The actor's family expressed their comfort in knowing that Cobbs had found eternal rest with his Heavenly Father and requested prayers and encouragement during this time.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Cobbs served eight years as an Air Force radar technician before embarking on his acting career. He moved to New York City in 1970 at the age of 36 to pursue his dream, making his movie debut in 1974's "The Taking of Pelham One Two Three."

Cobbs' acting career spanned several decades, with notable roles in films like "Demolition Man," "The People Under the Stairs," and "Air Bud." He also starred alongside Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner in the 1992 hit "The Bodyguard" and played Reginald in the "Night at the Museum" series.

In addition to his film work, Cobbs won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2020 for his performance as Mr. Hendrickson in the children's series "Dino Dana."
