Clarification: KAPCO denies rift with govt, PEPCO
The statement clarifies that no such notice has been issued by Kapco and thus there is no pressure to withdraw it.

With reference to a news item published on these pages titled “Kapco profit soars”, a statement issued by Kot Addu Power Company (Kapco) says that the said news item gives an incorrect impression that Kapco has given a legal notice to the government of Pakistan along with nine other IPPs for recovery of its dues. The statement clarifies that no such notice has been issued by Kapco and thus there is no pressure to withdraw the same. The statement also says that routine dues to Kapco are not being withheld. The statement further adds that Kapco has not appointed any third party or forum, including the nine IPPs mentioned, to act on its behalf or to represent it before any government authority.
