Mandy Moore reflects on her experience as Rebecca Pearson.

The actress and singer, who is soon to be a mother of three, shares that rewatching “This Is Us" with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, for her podcast “That Was Us" has provided them with fresh insights.

“It's like I'm going back to 2016 and I'm like, ‘Wow.’ Putting it back in that timeframe of what I was doing at that point in my life — my husband and I were still just newly dating — but the lens of watching the show now as a parent is so wildly different and watching it alongside [Taylor] as well,” she tells PEOPLE while promoting her new "Claim Your And" campaign with TJ Maxx.

“The conversations that we've had just in the last couple weeks and months since we started rewatching the show for the podcast? It's really, really interesting. We just weren't in this same frame of mind, we didn't have this life experience under our belt to even consider having some of these kinds of conversations," she adds.

“This Is Us” aired on NBC from 2016 to 2022, exploring themes of family, love, and loss, and illustrating how these elements are intricately connected.

The show focused on the lives of siblings Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz), and Randall (Sterling K. Brown), along with their parents Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia). The series used multiple timelines to narrate stories set in the present, flashbacks to the siblings' childhood, and flash-forwards to their later years.
