After attending the MaXXXine premiere at California's TCL Chinese Theatre to support Kevin Bacon, the mother-daughter duo revealed they switched outfits after walking the red carpet.

Sedgwick, 58, initially arrived in a black leather dress from LaQuan Smith’s fall 2021 ready-to-wear collection. Her daughter, 32, wore an oversized Knitwrth sweater over a strapless mini dress paired with black cowboy boots.

The outfit swap was shared in an Instagram post on Tuesday, June 25, showing them posing in each other's outfits before switching clothes in a bathroom as Chappell Roan's "Hot to Go" plays in the background.

"What can I say, I liked her outfit! 🤷‍♀️ In the bathroom at the @maxxxinemovie premiere," read the caption. Sosie also shared the video on her Instagram Stories, writing, "Freaky Friday, pleather addition."

The premiere was a family affair, with Sedgwick and Bacon's 35-year-old son, Travis Bacon, also attending. Travis posted a behind-the-scenes shot with his sister and mother on his Instagram Stories, writing, "The women that made me."

In another post, he shared a photo of the entire family on the red carpet, captioned, "Good times at the @maxxxinemovie premiere last night. Thank you @a24 for a great party. It was fun ride and I’m proud of my friends and family who were a part of it. #maxxxine."

Sosie echoed similar sentiments in her own Instagram post, calling the celebration for her 65-year-old father "an absolute dream."

Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon celebrated 35 years of marriage in September 2023. Recalling their first meeting on the set of the PBS movie Lemon Sky in 1987, Bacon told PEOPLE that he thought he "was knocked out."

"I thought she was amazing," he said. Although it took some convincing to get Sedgwick to agree to a date, she told PEOPLE that she realized Bacon was her perfect match the next day.

"I remember waking up and going, 'I feel like home,'" she said. "I realized, 'Oh, that was him.'"
