Jennifer Lopez is set to expand her television portfolio by adapting Emily Henry's young adult novel "Happy Place" into a Netflix series, as confirmed by Deadline on June 25.

Lopez’s production company, Nuyorican Productions, will spearhead the adaptation. Following the announcement, Lopez expressed her excitement on social media.

She shared a screenshot of the news on her Instagram Stories, originally posted by film producer and Nuyorican colleague Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, with a "Can’t Wait!" sticker.

Goldsmith-Thomas' caption read, "WE CANNOT WAIT TO WORK WITH @emilyhenrywrites on her brilliant amazing novel #happyplace!!!! @jlo #NuyoricanProductions."

The 2023 novel "Happy Place" tells the story of Harriet and Wyn, a couple who have been together since college but broke up six months prior. Despite their breakup, they have not informed their best friends and continue to pretend they are still together, leading to a series of realizations about their feelings for each other.

Nuyorican Productions was established by Lopez and her former manager, Benny Medina, in 2001.

Although Medina left shortly after its inception, Lopez continued as Principal, with Goldsmith-Thomas serving as President.

The company's first production was the 2006 film "El Cantante," starring Lopez and her then-husband Marc Anthony.

Lopez’s professional life remains bustling amidst personal attention. She is also preparing for her role in the upcoming movie "Unstoppable," which will be developed in collaboration with her husband Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company, Artists Equity.

This follows the successful promotional tour of her recent Netflix movie "Atlas," which Lopez celebrated in her “On The JLo” newsletter on June 5, writing, “I found out some great news and it’s all because of YOU!! ATLAS is #1 worldwide again this week!!! Thank you all so much!!!”

Despite her busy schedule, Lopez canceled her "This Is Me … Live" tour on May 31 to spend more time with her family. However, she attended the Christian Dior haute couture show during Paris Fashion Week on June 24.
