Fatalities attributed to heatstroke continued on Tuesday. Eleven people just collapsed and died on footpaths, streets, lanes and grounds across the city.

Edhi and Chhipa services brought 11 bodies, including one of a woman, from various areas of Karachi, with three persons identified so far.

Over the past three days, a total of 36 bodies have been recovered and transferred to government hospitals by the volunteers of Chhipa and Edhi, which were later moved to mortuaries.

Chhipa rescue workers reported that an unidentified body of a 55-year-old man was found near Soldier Bazaarat.

Another unidentified 50-year-old man’s body was discovered near Gulshan Maymar, taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. One more body was found near Orangi Town, taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal procedures.

Separately, Chhipa volunteers brought the body of a 35-year-old man found near Dua Hotel on Mauripur Road to Civil Hospital, and another unidentified man of the same age was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital from Manghopir Noorani.

Body of an unidentified 55-year-old woman discovered near Clifton Schon Circle underpass was moved to the mortuary following police intervention. The cause of death for all cases remains undetermined.
